Michael has a wide and varied background in business and economic development. A businessman who owned a network of gourmet markets in Poughkeepsie, he later worked as a consultant in the food industry and in commercial real estate.
In his current position as managing director, business attraction and government relations, for The Solar Energy Consortium he will focus on creating strategic alliances with elected officials at all levels who deal with renewable energy and will work with economic development agencies to attract corporate investment in solar energy manufacturing, fabricating and distributing firms and get them to locate in the Hudson Valley. |

Michael was previously the EVP for Hillside Companies where he oversaw site selection for traditional neighborhood development and communuty inclusion programs. He also provided input on the approval/permitting process and public policy issues.
From 1984 to 1986 he was an economic development specialist for Dutchess County Economic Development Corporation. From 1986 to 1996, DiTullo was president and CEO of the Orange County Partnership.
From November 1998 to November 2006, he was the president and CEO of Mid-Hudson Pattern for Progress, a nonprofit public policy, research and planning institute. |
