Lieutenant Cook has been awarded many medals and awards for exemplary service as well as the highest award in the FDNY EMS Command - the Christopher Prescott Medal, as well as the World Trade Center Surivors Medal.
Louis has published several articles in Fire Engineering, Critical Care Medicine and the Journal of Emergency Medical Services.
