The Annual Fund enables us to offer motivated adults, regardless of where they live or their life circumstances, to undertake an academic program and earn a university degree.

 

Financial barriers and the narrowing of support to adult learners are concerns Empire State College faces. With your contribution we can continue to break barriers and create needed scholarships, build enhanced technology for teaching and learning, along with establishing innovative academic programming for adult learners.

Funds raised through the Empire State College Annual Fund have a direct impact on the everyday lives of students and are utilized in a variety of ways. For example, this past year:

• $329,190 was awarded in scholarships or grants to more than 210 students
• $739,320 was awarded to 1,460 students in the form of short-term, no-interest loans through the revolving grant fund
• $146,000 in funds to support professional development activities by faculty and staff was provided
• $85,000 in support of new program research and development and technology enhancements for academic programs

Annual Fund donors include alumni, friends and employees who feel strongly about the importance of adult higher education. Our supporters believe in this cutting-edge institution and its mission to, “enable motivated adults, regardless of geography or life circumstance, to manage and master a rigorous academic program and earn a degree.”
