Description: Join us for the final workshop of this informative series.
More Info: The Financial Literacy Seminar Series (FLSS), a joint initiative between the New York Community Bank and SUNY Empire State College Metropolitan Center Staten Island Unit, brings together academics, practitioners and other experts to present and discuss topics of financial literacy especially pertinent to adult college students and our alumni population.

The FLSS has been developed to engage alumni and students in the building blocks of personal finance. Workshop topics include designing and living within a budget, managing credit, understanding the impact of debt and learning how to manage money more efficiently. The overall objective is to provide valuable financial education to students so they have the knowledge to make informed and conscious money decisions through all stages of life - from college through retirement.

The seminar series will also provide the tools, assistance and education to help students build a strong financial future.

Navigate the pitfalls and perils on the road to home ownership. Understand the buying process and the pros and cons of renting and buying as well as how best to protect yourself in either situation.
