Description: The Black Male Initiative Presents: "Exploring the Caribbean Diaspora" an afternoon of Education and Exploration of the Caribbean Diaspora.
More Info: The event will feature special Keynote Speaker Sir Hilary Beckles, Vice Chancellor at the University of the West Indies and Chairman of the Caribbean Reparation Commission.

Joining Vice Chancellor Beckles will be a faculty panel discussing such topics as:
The Caribbean Diaspora and Immigrant Organizations
Pondering Caribbean Identity - At Home and Abroad
Adjustment Issues of the Caribbean Immigrants in the Diaspora

On the panel will be:
Nadine Wedderburn, Ph.D., SUNY Empire, Schenectady
Rosalind October-Edun, Ph.D., SUNY Empire, Brooklyn
Lear Matthews, DSW, SUNY Empire, Manhattan

There will be beautiful Caribbean art, entertainment, and a taste of the Caribbean.
