A Celebration of Juneteenth (in July)

|More Info:||Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day, is a holiday that commemorates the June 19, 1865 announcement of the abolition of slavery in Texas, and more generally the emancipation of African-American slaves throughout the Confederate South.
Featured guest speaker will be Joe Washington, Emeritus Professor, specializing in civil rights as it related to the history of Jazz in America.
Following Joe's remarks, we will have live music from Jazz co-op "Lines of Reason" featuring:

- Marcus McLaurine (Bass)
- Joe Ford (Saxophone)
- Alan Nelson (Drums)
- Antoinette Montague (Guest Vocalist)
Doors open at 12:30pm, light refreshments at 1:0pm followed by the start of the event at 1:30pm.
