Empire State College Foundation Scholarships are available thanks to the generosity of alumni, employees, foundations and friends of the college who have chosen to recognize the importance of education by establishing scholarship funds. We thank our generous contributors for making these scholarships available to our students.
The following criteria must be met to be eligible for Empire State College scholarships, unless otherwise indicated in the scholarship-specific guidelines:
- Student must have financial need as determined by the FAFSA
- Student must be matriculated and have completed at least eight credits with Empire State College (the minimum credit requirement can be waived for Graduate students)
- Student must have the appropriate GPA indicating successful academic progress
- Student must have completed at least 80% of the course work they’ve enrolled themselves in (this means no more than 20% of the courses you’ve enrolled in can be incompletes, no credits, administrative withdrawals, etc.)
All Empire State College students must complete the FAFSA form to be eligible to receive scholarships. Both part-time and full-time students are eligible.
Each scholarship has a specific set of criteria. Review the current scholarship list to determine eligibility for each fund, and submit an application through the Empire State College Foundation Application for Scholarships tool (ESCFAST). Students must log in to the ESCFAST portal using your college e-mail address and password, then submit the General Application. You will automatically be considered for any scholarships that you may be eligible for. You will also have the ability to submit supplemental information for any scholarships that require additional application materials.
