Motivated, type A personality.

What inspired you to earn your college degree? What was your “moment”?
I wanted to be promoted within my career.

Why did you choose to attend ESC?
ESC had all online classes or you could do an internship or class, more of a blended learning model. I was able to customize my degree in Weather Disasters which I found fascinating and it kept my interest the whole way through.

Who supported and encouraged you along the way?
My family, friends and college staff.

What, if any, obstacles did you overcome?
The math course. Math is not a strong point and it is why I never could get a college degree before. The math course in Weather Statistics was very user friendly and was the reason I was able to finish it.

What advice would you give to a prospective ESC student?
Just try it. Before you know you will be done. Very enjoyable experience.

Why do you give back to SUNY Empire?
I feel that if I can do this, anyone can. The college really made it easy but at the same time challenged my mind.

How has your experience at ESC changed your life since graduation?
I am now in the middle of a masters degree. When I finish that then the sky is the limit!

Just try it and you will be a graduate sooner than you thought possible.
