Event Details

Description: Join us for a special Teach and Taste event featuring two faculty mentors as a part of this year's Scholars Across the College.
More Info: Take a break from the cold and take a bite out of this pre-Valentine’s event focusing on everyone’s favorite sweet, chocolate.

This interdisciplinary presentation from mentors Dana Gilserman-Kopans and Kim Stote will focus on chocolate as a commodity. Chocolate will be examined from two perspectives: the historico-cultural examination of chocolate as well as the scientific evidence surrounding the consumption of chocolate and the scientific methodology by which these effects are evaluated.

Enjoy heavy hors d'oeuvres during the presentation followed by a question and answer session and chocolate tasting for dessert.

The chocolate tasting will feature samples provided by Lune Chocolat which is owned by alumnus Michael Woloszyn ’03. Chocolate will also be available for purchase and will make a great gift before Valentine's Day.

Reserved parking for the event is located in the Clinton Street Garage.
